The program spans eight months and equips participants with the essential knowledge and civic strategies to tackle education challenges and collaborate toward creating outstanding opportunities for all students in Baton Rouge. Class members enhance their understanding of the education ecosystem and learn about past, present and future actions that influence education in our city. The program includes interactive discussion sessions, school visits, and other activities.

“The journey has been truly incredible. With all this new knowledge, my most impactful contribution lies in nurturing grassroots connections within my community, reaching out to my peers, and enlightening them in ways that were once beyond my reach,” said 2023 CHANGEMAKER Jennifer Gomez, Executive Director at the Louisiana State Governor’s Mansion.
