Andreka “Lynn” Howard is a philanthropic strategist, fundraising executive, and experience architect whose career has centered on a fundamental belief: meaningful relationships are at the heart of meaningful impact. For more than a decade, she has worked across higher education, nonprofit institutions, and the private sector to help organizations cultivate generosity, strengthen donor relationships, and transform important moments into experiences that move people to action.

Lynn brings a distinctive combination of fundraising expertise, donor relations strategy, and sophisticated event production to her work. As the owner of Lynn Howard, LLC, she advises and serves nonprofit, corporate, and individual clients on fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, organizational milestones, and event strategy. Since establishing the firm in 2011, Lynn has produced more than 100 nonprofit, political, fundraising, and milestone events, overseeing budgets ranging from $15,000 to $1.2 million. Her portfolio has included engagements with the Southern University System, Southern Foundation, YWCA of Greater Baton Rouge, Louisiana Housing Corporation, Foundation for East Baton Rouge School System, EnvisioNBR, and other organizations throughout Louisiana.

Her career in institutional advancement has included leadership positions with Knock Knock Children’s Museum, the LSU Foundation, and the Southern University System Foundation. At Knock Knock Children’s Museum, Lynn served as Director of Development and secured critical revenue during the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her leadership encompassed individual giving, peer-to-peer fundraising, grants, donor stewardship, membership, virtual events, development operations, and philanthropic strategy.

At the LSU Foundation, Howard advanced from Associate Director to Director of Donor Recognition, developing strategies to recognize and engage donors across consecutive, cumulative, leadership annual, and planned giving. She managed principal-level donor experiences, developed stewardship strategies across the institution, and oversaw departmental budgets. Her work helped translate philanthropy into lasting relationships between donors and the institution their generosity supported.

Earlier, as Annual Fund Director for the Southern University System Foundation, Howard secured approximately $400,000 annually in unrestricted support, mobilized 200 volunteer fundraisers each year, developed a system-wide donor recognition program, and led an annual gala recognizing approximately 1,200 benefactors. Her work also encompassed corporate sponsorships, crowdfunding, giving-day initiatives, and national fundraising campaigns.

Beyond her professional work, Lynn has maintained a longstanding commitment to civic leadership and volunteer service. She has held leadership positions with Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, and is a proud new member of the Ladies for Purple Scholars supporting students of St. Augustine High School. She has served within professional organizations dedicated to fundraising and donor relations.

A proud Jaguar of Southern University and A&M College, she studied Political Science. Lynn approaches philanthropy as both strategy and stewardship. Whether cultivating a donor, developing a campaign, advising an organization, or producing a transformational experience, she is guided by the understanding that generosity begins with trust and that the most enduring institutions are built by people who feel genuinely connected to their mission. She is a dual resident of Baton Rouge and New Orleans, a wife, and a mother.
