Alexis Bacque’ is an internal communications professional, community-minded leader, and proud Baton Rouge resident who is passionate about making a meaningful impact in the place she calls home. She believes in the power of clear communication, strong connections, and engaged communities to help people feel informed, included, and connected to something bigger than themselves.

Alexis currently serves as an Internal Communications Liaison at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, where she plays an important role in helping employees across a complex healthcare organization understand what is happening, why it matters, and how it affects them. She works closely with leaders and teams across the organization to communicate organizational changes, technology initiatives, employee engagement efforts, and other priorities. She especially enjoys taking complex information and turning it into communication that feels clear, approachable, and meaningful. Through her work, Alexis is motivated by the opportunity to help people feel connected to the mission and to one another.

Outside of her professional life, Alexis is deeply connected to Baton Rouge and the people and places that make the city unique. She loves the character of Government Street, discovering local art and small businesses, visiting local coffee shops, spending weekends at farmers markets and plant shops, and exploring the resources available through the East Baton Rouge Parish Library system. These everyday experiences are a reflection of what she values most: creativity, connection, accessibility, and community. She believes that meaningful change often begins by showing up, supporting local efforts, and taking an active interest in the people and places around you.

Alexis earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in 2021 and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport in 2025. She completed the Barton Leadership Class of 2025–26, an experience that strengthened her leadership skills and deepened her commitment to serving her community. She is also a member of Forum 225, where she has the opportunity to connect with other young professionals who are invested in the future of Baton Rouge.

At the heart of Alexis’ personal and professional life is a desire to contribute. Whether she is helping colleagues navigate change, supporting local businesses, discovering a new coffee shop, exploring something new in her community, or investing in her own growth as a leader, she looks for opportunities to make a difference. She is proud to call Baton Rouge home and hopes to continue contributing to the people, organizations, and ideas that make the city a place worth investing in.
